Though originally built in 1890 and occupied by Somerville’s Hotel Cawley, renovations were completed in early Fall of 2018 to transform the property into an elite boutique-style apartment building. It now serves as Six North’s sister property, sharing many of the same design elements and features. During the renovation process, all windows, interior walls, fixtures, and utilities were removed, leaving only the exterior and load-bearing surfaces in their original form. Two years later, 15-17 now contains six newly constructed, high-end apartments. All new plumbing, electric, and gas systems have been added, making the property into, essentially, a ‘new construction’ apartment building within a historically impressive exterior facade. Onsite parking is reserved for residents only.
